Charles A. Morano joined SSC in 2001 after retiring as a Detective with the Monroe, CT Police Department. Having served 15 years with the police department and as Training Instructor at the Police Academy, Mr. Morano brings a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience to his Corporate Training Director position at SSC. Mr. Morano received both the Silver Star and Purple Heart designations for valor during his Law Enforcement career. After retiring from Law Enforcement, he worked with the State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles as an Inspector.

Mr. Morano is a certified Security Guard Training Instructor in the states of Connecticut and New York. It was through his intense awareness and personal commitment as a trainer, that he authored the training syllabus for the State of Connecticut, per Public Act 04-192 (the new Connecticut mandated guard training program). He is a distinguished industry leader in developing unique models of instruction and employee assessment. Mr. Morano feels a deep personal commitment to providing training that will empower SSC's employees to perform at the highest levels ensuring their success at client's sites and furthering the security programs of our clients.  

Serving as the Director of Training since 2001, Mr. Morano has established an organized and highly trained staff of professional instructors. Under his guidance and leadership, SSC maintains industry leading methods and models for its training and education of security officers. In addition to state mandated training, Mr. Morano also develops and delivers client specific training programs to meet their requirements. Through his training career, Mr. Morano has achieved numerous focused security certificates including the International Federation of Protective Officers (IFPO) Instructor Certificate, American Red Cross Safety Instructor in First-Aid, CPR, AED and Disaster Relief and Planning, OSHA Outreach Instructor in Workplace Safety. In addition to the previously mentioned accolades, Mr. Morano is a Certified Law Enforcement Trainer (CLET).
